Our purpose is to safeguard the welfare of international students studying at schools, colleges and universities on the island of Ireland.
Our members employ a rigorous process to ensure that the safety and wellbeing of our students meets the highest standards of care.

Compliance with Child Protection legislation and guidelines in Ireland including:
- Children First: National Guidance for the Protection of
- Children,2017Children First Act,2015
- The Criminal Justice (Withholding of Information on Offences
- against Children and Vulnerable persons Act, 2012
- The National Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable
- person) Act, 2012-2016
Compliance with Child protection legislation and guidelines in Northern Ireland with specific reference to the following:
- The 1989 & 2004 Children Act
- The requirements of the Department for Education Working
- Together to Safeguard Children March 2018
- Keeping Children Safe in Education September 2019.
- The Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 and/or
- Children (Private Arrangements for Fostering) Regulations 2005
Compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018
Appointment of suitably trained employees, welfare supervisors, drivers and other personnel working with international students
Provision of appropriate and adequate Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance
Provision of accredited financial status and tax compliance
Respect for the rights, religion and cultural practices of international students under Irish law and in compliance with the individual school’s philosophy, policies and regulations
Provision of a 24-hour emergency contact
Provision of appropriate, regular and informed contact with the international student, the overseas parents and guardianship family
Provision of suitably vetted and inspected homestay accommodation
The maintenance of accurate and contemporary records of all communications
